Annual Toolkit: Videos
Connecting with peers is a huge reason people attend ALA Annual, and there's no better way to build excitement for our time together than by sharing a video invite with your network. Keep your video short—aim for 15–30 seconds and do not exceed 90 seconds. Remember, it does not have to be perfect, authentic is best.
Be sure to use our hashtag, #ALAAC25!

Filming & Editing Tips
- Audio matters. Be mindful of wind, traffic, etc. Use an external microphone, stay as close to the audio source, and shoot your video in a quiet place with less ambient noise.
- Shoot your video in brightly lit areas or outdoors but avoid pointing the camera directly at bright light sources to prevent overexposure and lens flaring.
- Use a tripod or keep your phone steady by holding it in both hands.
- Consider rehearsing and reshooting. Speak slowly and enunciate clearly. Prioritize sound and visual quality.
